With the district meet less than two weeks away, the swimming and diving team is doing more than just staying afloat. Taking part in the Carrollton Farmers Branch Winter Classic Jan. 10-11, the girls finished in first place, with the boys taking third.

Angela Lang led the way for the girls, winning both the 50 and 500 yard freestyle events.  Freshman Emma Ream also took first in two events (100 yard freestyle and backstroke), with sophomore Chloe Pelkowski taking first in the 100 yard breaststroke.  The girls also took first in all three relays.

The boys were missing several of their top swimmers, but Blake Kohl took second in diving, with Hunter Miller finishing second in the 200 yard individual medley.

The district meet takes place Jan. 25 in Frisco.
