Sells suffers injury

There’s a good chance the varsity football team will have a new starting quarterback this week.  Sophomore Bowman Sells suffered an injury to his right arm just before halftime in Friday’s game against Forney, making it unlikely he will be able to play in Thursday’s game against Frisco.

The team is being tight-lipped about the injury and Sells refused to comment when asked.

Sells was taken out of the game immediately after getting hurt with back-up quarterback sophomore Dakota Michaels taking over.

Michaels threw one touchdown and two interceptions in the second half of the team’s 45-13 win.

With Sells’ arm in a sling, it’s expected Michaels will be the starting quarterback on Thursday.
