To start the process, AP Physics teacher Ted Heyduck and AP Spanish instructor Mallin Hernandez swapped classes.
While in Heyduck’s class, Hernandez listened to the lesson, took notes, and found herself being assisted by students.
“The kids helped me actually, they were in groups of four, so the kids took out their formulas and…things, and so they showed me. Um, I was a little lost,” Hernandez said.
Trying to learn about Gauss’s Law regarding velocity left Hernandez out of sorts at first.
“Half of it was as if he had spoken in Chinese. By the end of the class I was kind of getting which formula went with what,” Hernandez said. “I liked the student part, because I like being a student and learning something new. The thing is that this was so new.”
