As the year comes to an end, students are eager for the summer, but they are also eager to see their schedules and verify the classes they are taking next year. Before the end of the year, the first draft of each student’s schedule will be released for review.
The initial schedules for incoming sophomores, juniors, and seniors will be mailed out this week. Students wishing to change their schedule for next year, can write the changes being requested on the pink schedule and return it to the counselor’s office.
“I have to change a lot of things, so I’m glad they are having us check it now before the summer,” junior Sarah Hamilton said.
Students will also get a verification of enrollment form which must be turned in to the counselor’s office along with the schedule. Regardless of whether or not students make changes, the schedule draft must be signed and turned back into the counselors.
“I don’t want to have to wait until next year to check that I’m in the right classes,” Hamilton said.
Although changes can be requested, it may not be a students’ final schedule. The counselors will change schedules based on availability, and a new draft will be sent out towards the end of summer. Changes can once again be requested at that time with a final schedule given out on the first day of school (August 26).
