Texas Motor Speedway seeks to bring X Games to area

Texas Motor Speedway officials are interested in a three- year hosting period for the X- Games summer edition. TMS has the largest sporting facility in the state of Texas, with the ability to holding more than 200,000 people on more than 150 acres.

“The X Games are really young people’s Olympics,” Eddie Gossage President of Texas Motor Speedway said to ESPN.

More than 200 athletes from around the world take part in an action-packed week of competitions including extreme rally car races, BMX bike events and skateboarding.

“I think its really cool the the X-Games might come to Dallas, because it gives us an opportunity to go to them,” freshman Kristen Rogers said.
