Football featured on Fox

Every Friday, FOX news in the Dallas/Fort Worth area features a local high school football game. Due to winning poll numbers, our campus hosted the FOX Game of the Week crew.

“For the kids, I really don’t think that’s their motivation, I really don’t think that added to them being nervous, I think that the natural nervousness comes with this being a big game,” head coach Matt Greene said.

That is was the game of the week didn’t make a difference to the players.

“We kept things the same and didn’t really think about it all that much,” junior Stephen Bennett said.

However, some felt that the game being featured on FOX news added to the high stakes of the game.

“Yeah it added a lot of pressure to a game that was going to be intense from the start, but that didn’t change the fact that it was extremely enjoyable,” junior Mason Olk said.

After pulling out the win over Sherman, the football team has bonded and has high hopes for playoffs.

“I thought it was a fun challenge and we really came together as a team to get the victory,” Bennett said.

Jayme Allen, Staff Reporter
Jayme Allen (the Original Amiga) is a pretty chill piece of flesh. She’s the Master Sergeant of the Majestics Dance Team, which is kind of cool. Her greatest accomplishment in life so far has been watching all 192 episodes of The Office within a two week period of time. She eats a lot of Taco Bell and almost all of the workers know her by name, or just  call her “you again?’” She likes to write things and hates talking to people. Her favorite color is violet and her favorite place is Disneyland. She is actually Rapunzel. True story.
