Finishing the regular with a 19-0 win over Wylie East, the Leopard tennis team finished the season with a district title.
Freshman Grady Wells and Cole Bennett pulled out their doubles match in a second set tiebreaker to give the Leopards a shot at their third 19-0 district match.
Wylie East failed to field an entire girls’ team, so only two girls doubles matches were played, with both winning 6-0, 6-0.
The girls’ team went a combined 53-1 in district play, losing only one match against Sherman.
The team heads into the district tournament as the number one seed, earning them a first round bye. Their first match will be next Tuesday afternoon in McKinney.
