Senior Alex Griffin has many favorite returning shows, but the one new show he’s looking forward to the most is the new CBS crime show “Elementary” which presents a modern day update of the Sherlock Holmes legend, which includes making Watson a female (played by Lucy Liu).
“That seems like an intriguing show,” Griffin said.
Junior Nick DiFurio is a big fan of pop culture and that includes a giant dose of TV. Without hesitation, he noted his most anticipated new show has to be NBC’s “Animal Practice”, a sitcom dealing with animal doctors, one of which is a primate.
“I love that monkey in it!” DiFurio said. “It’s pretty cool, a monkey doctor!”
On the other end of the spectrum is senior Brian Hesson. He says he doesn’t have very much time for a lot of shows but will be watching 2012 Election Coverage.
Another senior that loves television is Erin Shafranek. Among her many choices for shows she’d be watching come fall, her biggest choice for a new show was NBC’s “Guys With Kids”: a new comedy showing three individual fathers who deal with their newborns in unique and humorous ways.
“It’s such a funny concept, seeing guys out of their stereotypes,” Shafranek said.
Freshman Jacob Matacale is a big fan of sitcoms and his choice for new show he wants to see the most is the dramedy “Go On”, featuring Matthew Perry as a man trying to move on from his wife’s death.
“I’m a big fan of ‘Friends’,” Jacob said. “And Matthew Perry seems really funny.”
