In spite of the ‘Leopard Lunatics’ once again cheering their hearts out at the boys varsity game last night, the Leopards suffered a loss to the Frisco Lonestar Rangers.

From the tip-off to the final buzzer, the game was packed with action. Once again the Leopards were well supported by a blacked-out student section yelling and screaming from beginning to end. Junior Trevor Eckard immediately drained a three right after tip-off to start the game out in the Leopards favor. He then went on to be the top scorer of the game with 22 points.

Senior Joe Gonzalez was also a game-changing factor during the final quarter when the Leopards went back and forth between trailing by 4 and six points. Getting fouled repeatedly, Gonzalez and put up 4 points in free throws to help the Leopards close the gap.

The fourth quarter brought many struggles and brought the fans to their feet as it came down to ten seconds with Lonestar ahead by only two points. However, the Leopards weren’t able to pull out the last minute win and left the court with a final score of 57-55.
