Swim team lacks practice pool

Already without a home, the swim team found itself on the move once again as schedule conflicts led to the loss of the Allen Natatorium as a practice facility. That forced the team to scramble for an available pool.

This has greatly affected the swim team. They now have to practice in whatever pool is available to them.

“It’s actually a big stress on us to try and find a place to practice. We aren’t very happy about it, but there’s nothing we can do right now,” senior Emily Nightingale said.

When the weather was warm almost any pool would do, but now that colder weather is here, outdoor pools are well, out.

“It would really help us out a lot if it were at least warm outside so we could continue with our practices easier,” junior Alex Pages said.

The team hopes to find a solution soon, so that they can continue to prepare for a successful season.

“I just hope we can fix this issue as fast as possible so we can be our best this year. It’s not very fair that we have to try so hard just to practice like the rest of our school’s teams,” Nightingale said.

The team has high expectations, and are not going to let their lack of practice facilities get in the way of success.
