Hard enough as it is to win one state championship, the Lovejoy volleyball team has already won the 3A championship 3 years in a row and is back at it once again for its fourth state title in a row.

“It feels unbelievable to be headed to state for the 4th year in a row. It has gone by so fast and I’m just trying to cherish every moment,” senior Andie Malloy said.

The semi-final game starts at 1 p.m. on Friday in San Marcos and all of the girls are looking forward to it.

“I haven’t been on varsity all four years but being apart of the program has taught me how important teamwork, leadership, perseverance, and hard work is to being stressful,” senior Nicole Newton said.  “I love being a part of the program because everyone pushes each other to become better players. Our theme this year was family and it’s awesome because not only does varsity exemplify a family but so does the entire program.”
