This year is junior Ariel Kokoricha’s first year on The Red Ledger staff. When asked why she chose to join the staff this year, her only answer was “why not?” She uses this phrase as an excuse to try anything new. During her first year as a writer for The RedLedger, she’s hoping to gain a love of journalism and have fun. In her spare time when she’s not struggling through a pile of homework she left until the last minute, Ariel spends some of her weekend waking up early and staying out way too late due to a busy schedule that every fellow speech and debate kid knows. One of the things she has learned from her 15 years on earth is that it’s always worth it to try to live “la vie en rose,” a French phrase meaning “life in rose-tinted glasses.”
