“I love crafting and being creative, so this gives me an opportunity to have some fun during a stressful time leading up to winter break. I like to incorporate all of my students in my door decorations because it makes them laugh, and I enjoy the feeling of being part of a community of students and teachers. This year has been particularly tough with COVID-19, and I wanted my snow globe door decoration to bring some cheer to everyone who passes by. My students are the snowflakes in the snow globe and some are at the bottom as figurines in the globe. The globe has a hearth with QR codes all around it linking to funny videos or websites about each gift for the ‘12 Days of Christmas’ theme. I put myself in my decorations every year as well, and this year I am the elf on the shelf. I hope to make anyone who passes by have a laugh or two and just feel happy.”
