[I was] at my house doing nothing until I found out from a basketball friend. [It was] shocking because like when listening to some lyrics, legends who were like really good just die off. [I will remember] his competitive drive. What I heard on the news was that if he had a bad game or if he felt like it, he would always practice and put up like 1500 shots after.

I was at my grandma's house just chilling on the couch [when I found out.] I was upset about it. I told everyone because I thought they should know, and then everyone told me it was fake. So that made me upset too. But then I found out it was real, and I was sadder. He was a big advocate for women's basketball. He had an impact on my life because I’m in women's basketball too. He was really pushing how ...

I was in my dining room, and I was doing my homework on a regular Sunday [when I heard the news.] My dad said it, and I actually thought was a joke, because it was just really unexpected. He was a really great basketball player, and he was really good role model, especially because he really supported women's basketball. He seemed like a really nice, down to earth person. Even though he had a lot of fam...

I was on the basketball court outside, and my friend called me and he told me about it. I was really sad and I didn't want to believe it. I thought it was a joke at first. I watched a lot of his games and I mimicked his movies, and he meant a lot to me. He was a good person at heart. He always meant good. I'll just remember him.

I was in my bed on Instagram [when I found out]. I just thought about how good of a dude he was and how he was not only a good basketball player but a genuine good dude. There was an interview that I saw on Instagram of him talking about how God is great and how he had trust in God through his sports. I guess that kind of had an impact on me. I will remember him as a good dude who something tragic ...

I was with a family friend driving, and they told me about the reports of it. I had to look it up because I wasn't on the NBA app, but sure enough, on Google there were reports about it. Sadly, I wasn't old enough to watch Kobe play in the NBA when I was young. However, highlights of him will live forever. [I remember] his killer mentality. Every single game he played, he sold out, just like players ...

I was downstairs in my house. I was about to walk out, and my phone buzzed. I thought [his death] was fake. Kobe was really young. I think he was 41. It was really heartbreaking when I found out that it was true. I saw different news feeds and twitter feeds. He had an impact on a lot of different people's lives. I know he had three different foundations and a homeless person cause. He affected a lot...
