Yearbook begins sales with icon discount

Students may now purchase their yearbook for 2018-2019 with the option of four free icons.

Yearbooks are now on sale for the 2018-2019 school year, and the yearbook staff is kicking off sales with discounts on personalized icons.
“Right now, up until September 14, we’re offering four free icons with the purchase of personalization,” yearbook business editor Pallavi Muraleedharan said.
Icons offer students a way to personalize their books and make them unique.
Similar to the icons on letter jackets, yearbook icons can include names, years, or symbols of extracurricular activities on the cover. The yearbook staff offers a maximum of four icons per book.
According to Muraleedharan, this will be the only chance this year for students to get the icons for free with the purchase of the $70 book.
“This will be the best deal of the year,” Muraleedharan said. “The next deal is in October. The price stays the same, but then you will have to individually purchase each icon. They will not be free after September 14.”
