On The Spot: Christmas presents

Last Christmas I really wanted a PS4, and I didn’t think I was going to get it, and it ended being under the couch. Like, I opened up all of my other presents and I didn’t think I got it, and then they moved the couch, and the very last present was under it, so it was really exciting.

When I was maybe seven, I wanted to be a skater, so I asked for a skateboard ramp. Santa came through and got me a skateboard ramp, so I was very happy. My skating career went on from there for a couple of years, and now it's gone.

I remember whenever I was younger I really wanted this doll kind of thing, and you got to have this fake makeup that you got to put on it, and you got to brush its hair, and it was Hannah Montana themed. So, I woke up, and that was the one thing I wanted, and it was the Santa gift, so I was so excited. I played with it everyday–like all day everyday.

I think in third grade I got one of those mopeds– electric mopeds– that was kind of like a small motorcycle, and that was probably my favorite gift.

One of the things I really wanted was a spirograph because they had just come out, and I wanted to do all that drawing with a spirograph. They were very hard to find, so I asked Santa if he would bring me a Spirograph, and I got it, so I was very thrilled with that. It didn't seem like a big present by today’s standards, but it was important.

My favorite holiday gift as a kid was probably two years ago. I got a brand new kitten, who I named Chewbacca, and he was rescued from the wild. So, we had a very strong bond whenever he grew, and so he is probably the sweetest cat I’ve ever had. He is a maine coon and bobcat mix.
