The Red Ledger: What player would you compare yourself to?

Caiden Tays: D’angelo Russell because he never gives up.

TRL: Who is your biggest inspiration in your life?

CT: Bill Belichick because he always wins no matter the cost.

TRL: Why did you choose to play tennis over any other sport?

CT: I’m too short to play football and it’s a really good opportunity to show what I can do.

TRL: What’s your best memory of playing tennis?

CT: When I stepped up to the line and aced a guy when we played Wylie.

TRL: Do you see yourself playing tennis later in life?

CT: Probably not unless I get a scholarship to play somewhere in college or go pro.

TRL: How does it feel to be a freshman playing on the varsity level?

CT: It feels great to have players that play at a higher level so that they can push me to be more advanced and get better.

TRL: How do you think the team will finish the year?
CT: I think that we will finish off the season strong, and I think that we have a team that can make a run in district and further on.

TRL: How do you balance school and tennis at the same time?

CT: I take it one day at a time and do homework and other school activities when I’m not playing tennis.
