With the end of every year comes teachers leaving the district for other opportunities, for personal reasons or for new career advancements.

There is a number of teachers who are not coming back next year and currently there have been no replacements hired.

“From our standpoint, the sooner that we start the interview process, the more likely we are to have a quality pool of applicants,” Principal Chris Mayfield said. “Anytime we get a resignation we try and get those posted immediately and really we start that process of looking for a teacher immediately. As we have had some resignations, we have already started looking. We are trying to move those processes along as fast as we can. We expect this at the end of every year, and it’s usually a routine occurrence.”
