In its first year as a 5A school, the Leopard UIL academic teams won the District 10-5A championship in a meet that took place Friday and Saturday at Prosper High School. 24 individuals and five academic teams advanced to the Regional Meet April 24-25 at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches.

“With our school moving up to 5A this year, we knew that the UIL Academic tournament was going to be more challenging,” UIL coordinator Tami Parker said. “It proved to be every bit the challenge we thought it would be. This success in competition would not have happened without the very talented teachers that work hard each and every day with our students, our academic coaches that work to develop their teams and the students themselves who are willing to practice and compete.”
