Varsity basketball player and senior Tanner Scott sat down with The Red Ledger’s Katie Curry who got to know him in the following Q&A:
The Red Ledger: What got you into playing basketball? How long have you been playing?
Scott: “I was looking for a sport to play in between football and soccer and signed up to play. I’ve been playing since the second grade.”
The Red Ledger: What does it mean to you that you get to play with your brother (sophomore) for your senior season?
Scott: “It means a lot that my last season to play school sports is not only shared with my best friends but my brother as well. It will be cool to be able to look back on the experience as a good one with my favorite people.”
The Red Ledger: Who are your favorite sport teams?
Scott: “Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, and Duke Blue Devils.”
The Red Ledger: What is something you enjoy doing outside of school and sports?
Scott: “I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family and relaxing.”
The Red Ledger: What is your favorite movie?
Scott: “Goodwill Hunting.”
The Red Ledger: What is your favorite memory of high school thus far?
Scott: “Prom 2014 maybe, I’m not sure.”
The Red Ledger: If you had to describe yourself in a sentence what would it be?
Scott: “I am very chill and love to have a good time.”
The Red Ledger: What is your best advice for high schoolers as you get ready to graduate?
Scott: “Don’t miss out on any opportunities and make it fun!”
