From theatre to choir and academics to athletics, the Spring Showcase will give underclassmen and 8th graders a chance to get information on certain programs at the high school. The showcase will take place in the commons and cafeteria from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The school’s annual Spring Showcase for underclassmen and 8th graders takes place Wednesday in the commons and the cafeteria from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

“The purpose of showcase is to show current students, as well as the eighth graders who are moving up, some of our classes, extracurricular activities, clubs or any special activity,” counselor Amanda Breeden said. “They can ask about information so they can make good choices for their schedule for next year.”

In addition to activities in school, information from community clubs will also be available.

“Last year I set up about sixty tables,” Breeden said. “There are lots of people that come out, and some people are even from the community, like lacrosse, and other organizations.”

Freshmen can also receive their rankings for this year, and parents can meet with teachers and counselors about questions for next year.

“Most questions are about how to take classes in the summer and about what is taught in specific classes,” Breeden said.
