An ode to crazy leggings
March 12, 2014
I remember the day I strolled into Forever 21
My money in hand, a considerable sum
I couldn’t decide what to buy, it all looked so fun
but my eyes rested on these and I knew I’d found the one
Leggings! Oh, Leggings! So patterned and bright
I tried them on, the fit was just right!
Red, blue, green, purple and white
They were such a beautiful and colorful sight
One pair was all it took to get me addicted
The need was so strong, I was afflicted
To buy one pair or seven, my mind was conflicted
If they were a fashion crime, you could call me convicted
“Do you own anything besides those crazy pants?”
Of course, but I always wear these (more choice than chance)
The relationship with me and my leggings is almost romance
Comfort and crazy combined- they have me entranced
Galaxy, Aztec, Tye Dye and more,
My closet is filled with leggings galore
They’ve become my trademark, of that I am sure
Try some for yourself, please-I implore
To my favorite leggings, I write this ode
Without them my heart would probably explode
Who cares about cold, I’ll wear them if it’s snowed
This rhyming is getting difficult, something something erode
