The Samaritan Inn of McKinney has a few hundred dollars more after the Leopard tennis team recently donated $350.83 to the homeless shelter.

The money comes from the team’s first Serve & Run-a-thon, a fundraiser designed to help the team buy new uniforms, misting fans and other equipment. The team and its coaches raised $3508.25 by getting 82.5 percent of its serves in and running 56.50 miles as a team.

The team returns to the court Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28-March 1, for the Abilene Varsity Tournament in Abilene.
