With the regular season for NCAA college football officially over, the nation’s top teams have been selected to play in bowl games. Nearly every FBS Texas and Oklahoma university was picked to compete in a bowl.

Oregon (10-2) vs. Texas (8-4)

Where: San Antonio, Texas

When: Mon. December 30, 5:45 p.m. CST

The 25th ranked Texas team was selected to play 10th ranked Oregon in San Antonio this New Year’s. This matchup features Oregon’s 4th ranked offense and Texas’ 9th ranked rush defense going head to head, so expect a shootout.

National University Holiday Bowl

Arizona State (10-3) vs. Texas Tech (7-5)

Where: San Diego, California

When: Mon. December 30, 9:15 p.m. CST

Unranked Texas Tech looks to defeat the no. 16 Arizona State Sun Devils in another showdown of offensive-minded teams. Texas Tech wants to redeem themselves after losing their last five contests of the season, with a bowl game win.

AutoZone Liberty Bowl

Mississippi State (6-6) vs. Rice (10-3)

Where: Memphis, Tennessee

When: Tue. December 31, 3 p.m. CST

Rice, one of the top C-USA teams, has a challenge on its hands with a battle with Mississippi State from the highly competitive SEC. Rice is experiencing one of its first bowl berths in a couple years, and could win if they shut down Miss. State’s breakout quarterback Dak Prescott.

Chick-Fil-A Bowl

Texas A&M (8-4) vs. Duke (10-3)

Where: Atlanta, Georgia

When: Tue. December 31, 7 p.m. CST

The Aggies, ranked 21, are coming off a dominant Cotton Bowl victory last year against Oklahoma, and hope to have the same effect on the ACC’s own no. 22 ranked Duke. In what appears to be Johnny Manziel’s, Texas A&M’s Heisman quarterback, last game before his journey to the NFL, look for the Aggies to overcome their nagging defensive woes and light up the scoreboard against a weaker Duke offense.

Heart of Dallas Bowl

North Texas (8-4) vs. UNLV (7-5)

Where: Dallas, Texas

When: Wed. January 1, 11:00 a.m. CST

The University of North Texas faces UNLV in Dallas come New Year’s, and the Mean Green can win their first bowl game as an FBS college.

AT&T Cotton Bowl

Oklahoma State (10-2) vs. Missouri (11-2)

In a showdown between Big 12 and SEC, the OK State Cowboys face off against the Mizzou Tigers at AT&T Stadium. Oklahoma State’s highly touted balanced offense will go to war against Missouri’s top-rated run defense and dual threat quarterback James Franklin.

Allstate Sugar Bowl

Alabama (11-1) vs. Oklahoma (10-2)

Where: New Orleans, Louisiana

When: Thu. January 2, 7:30 p.m. CST

OU has the arduous task of facing previous national champion Alabama, who failed to reach its third straight championship game after falling to Auburn in a wild Iron Bowl. The Sooners, who had a strong finish to the end of the season, will try to defeat the SEC powerhouse Crimson Tide and Heisman trophy runner-up AJ McCarron.

BCS National Championship

Florida State (13-0) vs. Auburn (12-1)

Where: Pasadena, California

When: Mon. January 6, 7:30 p.m. CST

The Auburn Tigers, who didn’t win a single game in conference last season, made a huge comeback this season and won the SEC Championship in Atlanta. The Seminoles, led by Heisman winning quarterback Jameis Winston, finished undefeated on the year, bringing home the ACC Championship with a win versus Duke. The Tigers’ top-tier rushing offense will ride Heisman finalist Tre Mason and quarterback Nick Marshall in an attempt to defeat the Seminoles and ruin their perfect season.
