The District 13-4A golf tournament came to a close Tuesday with neither the boys nor the girls advancing to regionals.
“I am extremely proud of the kids’ outcome from this tournament,” head golf coach Romi Irons said. “Even though our teams were unable to advance, I see hope for the future.”
One reason for such hope, freshman Kristen Rogers is the long Leopard golfer to advance to regionals.
“Kristen has put in tons of effort this year, and it definitely has payed off for her,” Irons said. “She is very talented and I can’t wait to see how she does.”
The girls finished the tournament in third place, falling short to Wylie East and McKinney North.
The boys red team finished the tournament in 8th place with the boys black team finishing 10th.
