Seven time Tour de France winner.
Cancer survivor.
Performance-enhancing drug user.
Whatever the title, campus opinion of Lance Armstrong varies widely.
“I believe in the future we will all find out the whole cancer thing was a coverup,” senior Chris Ford said.
For most students, the fact that Armstrong was stripped of his Tour de France titles has no bearing on his effort to find a cure for cancer.
“I wore the bracelet because I thought it was a cool way to support cancer,” sophomore Cameron Hobgood said.
Students have mixed emotions about Armstrong and his morals. But as for the yellow bracelets that support cancer, most students come to a similar conclusion.
“I’ve never worn one, but I know it’s for uniting cancer patients and that’s all that matters,” sophomore Michael Jones said.
