Rain may have postponed the game, but it could not delay the outcome as the baseball team won its first District 11-3A game, hitting the road to beat Frisco Lone Star 6-2.
Having to endure several days of rain and wet field conditions, the team had to wait several days before finally getting the chance to play again.
Starting off a bit rusty, the team got into the swing of things as the game went on. Behind by one going into the third inning, the offense exploded for 5 runs, batting through the entire line up. Scoring once more in the fifth, the Leopards 6-2 win moves the team to 11-4 overall and 1-0 in district.
The team is back in action tonight, taking on Princeton at 7:30 p.m.
