Students will be actively practicing their First Amendment rights, granting freedom of religion and of speech, at the annual Fields of Faith gathering on the football field on Wednesday, Oct. 14, starting at 7 p.m. Food will start to be served at 6 p.m.
Fields of Faith is an annual gathering on the football field where students will come together in the Christian faith.
“Fields of Faith is a community-wide event where people all ages can come together in fellowship and hear the word of God,” senior Abby Martin said.
This event will host several speakers and is a gathering of multiple schools in the area. A message will be delivered by Reverend R. Wayne Dishman, students will share their testimonies, and worship will be lead by the Lucas Christian Academy praise band.
“Everyone is invited to come and fellowship and listen to some great speakers,” senior Jake Mayfield said. “Also, there will be free food.”
This event brings the community together to practice and share their beliefs.
“It’s a great opportunity to come closer with the community and hear sermons from speakers that I don’t get to normally hear,” junior Jensyn Caton said.
