The Leopards (8-3 overall, 5-2 in district) face their biggest opponent yet on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. versus Terrell High School (10-1, 7-0) at Allen Eagle Stadium in the second round of the playoffs.

“There’s a few wrinkles and changes to what we do each week, but again, we’re going to follow our routine, our pattern that is successful,” head coach Ryan Cox said. “We’re not gonna sit here and try to reinvent the wheel or change up what we’re doing just because the team we’re playing.”

Last week, Terrell defeated Woodrow Wilson 49-10. Running back Dawonya Tucker ran for 249 yards and five touchdowns against Wilson. Quarterback Klayton Henderson threw for 184 yards and one score.

“[The things we’re focusing on film are] stopping their run, stopping what they do best,” Cox said. “That’s the biggest thing is you got to go in and look what they do well.”

Texas Tech commit Bailey Smith says the offensive line just needs to keep doing their job to help advance in the playoffs.

“The o-line as a whole really brought our game up a notch,” Smith said. “We just have to continue to be mean and dominate up front so we can make the guys behind us look even better.”

The Leopards knocked Frisco High School out of the playoffs with a 34-10 victory last Saturday at AT&T Stadium in the bi-district round. The Leopards shut out Frisco the first quarter, but the Raccoons ended up kicking a field goal in the second.

Senior quarterback Bowman Sells threw for 239 yards and four touchdowns against Frisco. As his first game back from injury, senior receiver Aaron Fuller caught for 116 yards and two scores.
