Students who received a one in a class 1 solo or ensemble in the UIL Solo and Ensemble competition will be competing at state this week.

The last day of school will be spent off campus for band and choir students who advanced in the spring UIL Solo and Ensemble competition and will be competing Friday at University of Texas Austin in the State Solo and Ensemble competition.

“It’s always a great experience to perform something, that you’ve worked on since Christmas break, at such a high level,” junior band member Braden Smotherman. “The time and effort really pays off and this weekend is when we cash in all our hard work.”
