Halo is as big of a household name as Battlefield and Call of Duty. Engrossing story, addicting gameplay, and top notch graphics for its time, the Halo series has been praised highly from the beginning. In most editions, the main character is the Spartan super-soldier, Master Chief. In this Xbox One exclusive game, players experience a remastered compilation of the games Master Chief was in (Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4).

The remastered version of Halo: Combat Evolved is similar to its first remaster for the Xbox 360 in 2011. Sounds and most of the voice acting has been redone, but otherwise, the graphics are the same as on the 360, except the smooth 60 FPS.

Halo 2, on the other hand, has been completely redone. Voice acting, graphics, cut scenes, everything except the main story was completely overhauled and looks amazing.

Meanwhile, Halo 3 and  Halo 4 have only been updated slightly (similar to Halo: CE) but they still run better because of the higher FPS. Multiplayer is largely the same, except the maps from all four games have been compiled together for a great experience.

It’s a great deal. Four games on one disc, all remastered. There could have been more work done on Halo: CE and Halo 3 but all in all, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is most definitely worth the $60 for any Xbox One owner out there, nostalgic or not.
