Throughout the metroplex, towns and neighborhoods are turning on the Christmas lights for the holidays. Here’s a list of some of the best places worth checking out.

Deerfield: Located in Northwest Plano between Preston Road and Coit Road. Due to the high volume of visitors, police created a route to help the flow of traffic. Tours are also available in horse drawn carriages.

Highland Park:  Located off 75 Central Expressway.  Many houses have extensive and exotic decorations.  However, this can often lead to traffic. People can also tour the area in a horse drawn carriage. The carriage stand is located at 4539 Travis St., Dallas, TX 75205.

Frisco Square: Welcoming more than 650,000 visitors each year, Frisco Square is hosting its 8th annual Christmas in the Square. Featuring carriage rides, snow machines and a Christmas tree lot, Christmas in the Square continues through January 4.

Watters Creek: Monday – Saturday from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Watters Creek has “Celebration of Lights”, an animated light display.
