Hot air balloons will be filling the skies of North Texas this weekend as the 8th Annual Celina Balloon Festival begins today.

The first balloon launch will take place at 5 p.m. with additional launches Saturday at 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and a final launch scheduled for Sunday at 7 a.m.

Aside from the sky full of large amounts of colors, there will be activities from 5-10 p.m including carnival style rides, a petting zoo, helicopter rides, and a zip line.

All of this will be at Old Celina Park, 12670 FM428, Celina. Admission is $5 with an additional $5 for parking.  Additional activities are not included in the admission cost.
